The Char Dham Yatra is a sacred pilgrimage covering the four holy temples of Yamunotri Temple, Gangotri Temple, Kedarnath Temple, and Badrinath Temple in Uttarakhand.

  • The journey starts from Delhi and continues to Haridwar for the famous Ganga Aarti. Pilgrims then visit Yamunotri and Gangotri, the sacred sources of the Yamuna and Ganga rivers. The tour continues to Kedarnath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, followed by the visit to Badrinath, the holy temple of Lord Vishnu.

           During the journey, travelers pass through beautiful Himalayan towns like Barkot, Uttarkashi, Guptkashi, and Rudraprayag, enjoying scenic mountain views and sacred river confluences before returning to Delhi.

Route: Delhi – Haridwar – Barkot – Yamunotri – Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Guptkashi – Kedarnath – Badrinath – Rudraprayag – Haridwar – Delhi.

Day 03
Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (45 Km / 6 Km Trek each way)

Day Excursion: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot

  • Early morning breakfast at the hotel.
  • Drive from Barkot to Janki Chatti (approx. 36 km).
  • Start the 6 km trek to Yamunotri Temple.
  • Pilgrims can complete the trek on foot, by pony (horse), or by Doli (palanquin).
  • On arrival, take a holy bath at Jamnabai Kund.
  • Cook rice or potato in the hot water of Surya Kund and take it as prasad.
  • Offer prayers at Yamunotri Temple and witness the Aarti at Divya Shila and to Goddess Yamuna.
  • Trek back to Janki Chatti.
  • Drive back to Barkot.

  • Gangotri is located at an altitude of 3,048 meters and surrounded by scenic Himalayan mountains.
  • Offer prayers at Gangotri Temple.
  • Visit the natural Shivling rock near the temple (visible when the water level is low).
  • Explore the temple surroundings and the holy Bhagirathi River area.

Drive back to Uttarkashi.

  • Morning drive from Guptkashi to Sonprayag.

  • Start the trek to Kedarnath Temple from Gaurikund (approx. 18 km).
  • Pilgrims can complete the trek on foot, by pony (horse), or by Doli (palanquin).
  • On arrival, visit Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva.

Overnight stay at Kedarnath.

  • Guests will be required to take a local taxi at their own expense from Sonprayag to Gaurikund (approx. 5 km). From Gaurikund, the trek to Kedarnath Temple begins.

  • In case client wishes to prepone /postpone his or her travel dates, we request you to kindly reach us 15 days prior to journey date via e-mail/SMS..

  • The customers can prepone /postpone their tour once without any additional charges (if intimated before 15 days of travel date in written). However postponing & preponing second time will attract additional charges.

  • Also note that few service providers (Hoteliers, Transporter etc.) may apply postpone/prepone charges even after meeting above requirement. In such cases postpone/prepone charges will deducted from the advance amount deposited.

  • In all prepone or postpone scenarios, the services and the costing will be subject to availability of Hotel/Volvo and season/off season time.

  • We do not accept any changes in plan within 15 days of travel date. However in rare cases like adverse climatic conditions or strikes, package can be postponed which will be intimated to you beforehand.

  • The validity to utilize your Advance payment in prepone/postpone scenarios is 1 Year from the date of advance payment.
