North Sikkim Package

Meet and greet on arrival at Bagdogra International Airport and transfer to Gangtok (5,500 Ft.). On arrival check-in to the hotel and rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
 

After a heavy breakfast, we take you to the famous Tsomgo Lake at 12000 ft (3600M). We start around 8.30 AM in the morning from the hotel. You have the whole day to enjoy the snow and Yak ride at the scenic high altitude alpine lake near the Indo-Tibet border. The 1 km long and 15m deep lake is considered sacred to the local people. The pristine clear water remains frozen during winter. Have fun with snow and enjoy an exciting Yak ride around the lake.

Note: - 

1. Visitors are allowed to stop at Tsomgo/Nathula for duration of 30 minutes to 1 Hr to avoid any unforeseen mishaps/congestion in area.

 2. All vehicles returning from Nathula, Baba Mandir, Tsomgo, should reach 3rd Mile check post by 5 pm. Failure to adhere timings by vehicles will cause discontinuation of permit for the defaulting vehicles. 

3. Visit to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir depends upon the availability of permits and valid documents. If permits are not granted alternative sight-seeing will be done. 

4. Additional Point: Nathula Pass: Visiting Nathula Pass requires an additional permit. Permits are limited, so guests must inform us at least a day prior to their travel. Only a certain number of vehicles are allowed each day. Payment can be made directly to the driver or our local representative.

After breakfast, set out for a drive to Lachen, a quaint village nestled in the mountains of North Sikkim. On the way, enjoy stops at some stunning viewpoints, such as the Seven Sisters Waterfall and Naga Waterfall, along with the beautiful Chungthang confluence. As you ascend, the views become more serene with snow-capped peaks in the distance. Reach Lachen by late afternoon, check into your hotel, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Overnight stay in Lachen.

Early in the morning, embark on an excursion to Gurudongmar Lake, located at a breathtaking altitude of 17,800 feet. As one of the highest lakes in the world, Gurudongmar offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and is considered sacred by both Buddhists and Hindus. After exploring the lake, return to Lachen for lunch. Post lunch, begin your journey to Lachung, another charming village in North Sikkim. Enjoy the drive through the stunning valleys and check into your hotel in Lachung for an overnight stay.

After breakfast drive towards Yumthang situated at an elevation of nearly 11800 feet - On the way you may visit the famous hot spring which is known for its curative properties of skin diseases - Yumthang is a valley near the river Lachung Chu surrounded by mountains where the tree line ends - In spring the valley erupts in riots of colors as Primulae, Rhododendrons and many other Alpine flowers in full bloom along with snow covered valley except in autumn - During winter Yumthang is somber with snow all around and the snow clad mountains adding to the ethereal beauty -  Evening free to stroll around the village -  – Overnight stay at Lachung 

After breakfast leave for Gangtok - 125 kilometers, 4 – 5 hours’ drive - On the way stops at Singhik and Mangan - If the weather is fine and the sky is clear one can enjoy the view of Himalayan range with mount Kanchenjunga, mount Pandim, mount Kabru, mount Simvo, mount Jopuno, mount Khangchendzonga and mount Siniolchu - Various location offers a majestic view of these peaks hence photography will consume some time  The drive will be smooth due to the scenic beauty as in spring the forest cover erupts in a riot of colors as Rhododendrons, Primulae and many other Alpine Flowers are in full bloom - Back to Gangtok Evening free to roam around M G Road (Mall) or local Shopping center - Over Night stay at Gangtok 

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive back to Bagdogra/New Jalpaiguri Station for your onward journey. Enjoy the scenic drive down from the hills, bidding farewell to the beautiful state of Sikkim as you head to the airport or station for departure.
