Thimphu to Punakha/Wangdue

Drive to Punakha via Dochula Pass (3,100 m) with its 108 Druk Wangyal Chortens. Visit Chimi Lhakhang, the Temple of Fertility (30–45 min hike). Later visit Punakha Dzong at the confluence of Mo Chhu & Po Chhu Rivers. Check in at hotel. Overnight in Punakha/Wangdue.

Punakha/Wangdue to Paro

After breakfast, drive back to Paro, retracing the scenic route via Dochula Pass. En route, visit the Simtokha Dzong, one of the oldest fortresses in Bhutan and now a school for the study of the Dzongkha language. Once in Paro, check in to your hotel and visit:

  • Ta Dzong: A former watchtower now housing the National Museum.
  • Rinpung Dzong: A magnificent fortress with a rich history.
  • Tamchog Lhakhang: A picturesque temple located by the river.

After early morning breakfast, you will be starting a Excursion tour to TaktshangMonastery.TaksandPalphug Monastery also known as Tiger's Nest is an amazing Buddhist monastery, temple and sacred site is located in the upper Paro town. Built in 1692, Padmasambhava is believed to have meditated at this site for 3 years. Guru Padmasambhava is known to be the founder of Buddhist religion in Bhutan.   • Expenses arising from unforeseen situations such as landslides, roadblocks, strikes, or political disturbances, to be borne directly by guests.
  • Any increase in costs due to government tax hikes, fuel price changes, or introduction of new visa fees that impact transportation or land arrangements.
  • GST and TCS as applicable.
  • Anything not specifically mentioned under Inclusions.
  • GST @ 5% and TCS @ 5% / 20% (or as per prevailing Government notification) will be charged on the total bill amount.
  • Rates are applicable only for Indian nationals holding a valid Indian Passport or Voter ID.
  • All rates quoted are Nett and non-commissionable.
  • If any sightseeing point is closed on a particular day, an alternate sightseeing arrangement will be provided.
  • Validity: These rates are applicable from 1st October 2025 to 31st March 2026.
  • High season surcharges will apply during festival periods within this validity:
  • Thimphu Tshechu: 30th September 2025 – 6th October 2025
  • Paro Tshechu: 6th April 2026 – 14th April 2026 (falls just outside this validity, but surcharge will apply if travel extends into April)
  • Mandatory Gala Dinner Charges will apply on 24th December 2025 and 31st December 2025.
